Creating Winning Backgrounds For Your Twitter Profile

Posted by GuestPost On July - 12 - 2010

Looking for tips into helping you creat your Twitter backgrounds is only sensible. Spend some time to really think what you want to say, how you want to say it, and why. If you have not spent some time considering what it is you want to say though; now is the time.

Indeed, I would go so far as to say that if you are struggling to find inspiration; or perhaps the design you are working isn’t quite working, take some time out and use what Twitter already has created for you. Okay, so they’re not going to win any awards, but they have been professionally and tastefully completed.

When you get down to designing your Twitter backgrounds, be sure to check you are working with appropriate size and resolution. Go for something that will stand on its own; big and bold IS good. Complicated? Not so hot. Design your text in simple, large and easy to read text.

You also find using a border invaluable, in order that the user panel and Twitter’s own logo  can be displayed without cheapening your efforts.

Testing cannot unfortunately be completed, but if the design isn’t quite working how you wish it to it is easy enough to remove.

There are many places online that can help, or simply design your Twitter backgrounds for you. Prices of course vary, but if you are time poor they can be worthwhile. If the page is purely for social use however; it is unlikely this will be for you.

However you approach the design and publication of your Twitter backgrounds; always ensure you do not neglect the content. Remember that it is the content that really matters.
