You’re correct. Many of the seasoned internet marketers & SEOs would just like to stick to Google. This provides an opportunity to get high rankings on Bing for your sites/clients/business. Moreover, it is still easier to get ranked well in Bing than on Google.

Great article.

This is something I have always been thinking about. Why only optimize for google? What’s there to lose if we optimize for bing and other search engines? These are some questions I ask seo pros.

My philosophy is: “Always be prepared, cover all tracks, there’s nothing to lose.” Nothing lasts forever and google will not always be the dominant and most favored search engine. The merger is a sign of things to come and seo should be executed in a method that will allow sites to benefit from all angles.

Conclusion, I will optimize for bing too.
